A few of my favorite things:
Rock climbing! I like to wrestle rocks as a hobby, and it has taken me to many wonderful places on earth. Here are just a few. Locally, there is world class rock climbing just outside of El Paso at Hueco Tanks!

The daily chaotic market in Arusha, Tanzania. There are many hidden wonders, if you can avoid being run over by motorcycles, and get ripped off buying carrots.

Cape Town, South Africa

A festive feeling, atop Mount Erebus volcano, Antarctica

The East African Rift, viewed from the top of Ol Doinyo Lengai

Sometimes we pose atop volcanoes. Ok, we always pose atop volcanoes.

In Tanzania, sometimes in the very middle of nowhere in the bush, one comes across Masai children looking to hitch a ride (or request some water). Their payment: two hours of this. not even any mathematics.

Le sentier Martel, Verdon Gorge, France

Masai and local guides who ran with me to the top of Ol Doinyo Lengai. A frankly miserable hike.

The summit crater of Ol Doinyo Lengai in Tanzania. Of interest, this volcano erupts carbonatite lavas, which essentially look like black oil.
